How To Get Free Movies On Our iPods:Part II

In a previous post we showed you how to get free movies onto an iPod in four easy clicks. We used free software that works by converting movie files to iPod-compatible format and then auto uploads the file to iTunes.

Even though the software was easy to use, its one fault is that it does not convert from any “protected” DVDs. Having said that, we were able to get it to convert one DVD and  play it on our iPod - because it was not “protected”. But all the videos we really wanted to convert are “right-protected”.

Now, the iPod is just another playing devise- so there is just no justification in making us pay for yet another version of a movie we already have purchased, just so we can watch it on our iPod.

We went hunting for a solution!

And we found a fantastic little, super simple, FREE  bit of software that solved our problem! The software is called DVD43 and site quietly on our PC unlocking DVDs so that they can be converted and transferred to our iPods!

With DVD43 loaded, we can now use TransferMy Video to convert all our DVDs to play on our iPod! No need to do anything at all with the DVD43 (it works in the background whenever we need it!) - just use TransfeMyVideo - which is super fast at converting (its more than double the speed of ordinary play)

Now it does have  a water mark in the middle of the free version which is more annoying for the smaller screened iPods than for the iPod Touch. But its pretty cheap to get the full version,and well worth it!

BTW - I watched Bolt on an iPod when I flew over to Seattle, last week (friend has the DVD!) I loved the graphics.

Free iPod downloads - of a different kind!

On our blog you will find heaps of excellent ways to get free iPod movies, free iPod Videos and TV shows, free Podcasts, free iPod Music and even free ebooks!

These are the usual things we are looking for when we think of iPod Downloads. But a lesser known kind of download is becoming increasingly popular - especially with some of the big entertainment/leasure companies like Disney and Sheraton - the notecast!

“What the heck is a notecast?” - you say! Well, glad you asked….

According to the experts (those who develop them):

A Notescast is a powerful organized collection of interactive copy embedded with links to related photos, video, audio and additional interactive text, all of which installs to your iPod’s “Notes” feature.  Because it installs to the iPod’s Notes feature, it’s called a. . .”Notescast.”

Okay!!!! SO, now you know!

Well, put in ordinary user language it just means that we get information onto our iPods that includes links to images and videos.And depending on what the information is, that can be really useful.

For example, “Walt Disney World Secrets” has been produced as a notescast that can be very useful for anyone visiting Disneyland!

Similarly, Sheraton have produced notecast that provides a complete guide to the luxurious Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Hawaii with 81 interactive pages of copy and some 65 photos.

Planning on hiking the Yasemite Valley - now you can also notecast it!

Legal Free Music Downloads for iPods

Well, if you check around our blog you will find stacks of ways to get free music, free movies and even free games for iPods.

Our latest, newest …drum roll… bestest method of getting legal free music downloads for our iPods - is perhaps the best yet!
