Twitter has become a super cool marketing-tool for lots of celebs and others to get the news of their latest album, show or whatever “virally” spread around ASAP. And, because its a small but valued nugget of goodies, the iPod is often the reward on offer for spreading the news.

There are several such offers around twitter at present. So if you have a twitter account, you can - with a few taps and clicks - be in for a chance to win one:

1) Win an iPod Touch - just Follow @rummikubiphone on Twitter during the contest and tweet or re-tweet a message containing #rummikubiphone. More details at rummikub

How To Win Fame, Good Looks - and a Free iPod!

Perfect-Results are running a fun look-a-like contest with iPods as prizes.

They are asking us to show them our “Perfect Celebrity Style!” - their hook?

• Do you look like a celebrity?
• Do you rock your hair like a famous celebrity?

All you have to do is submit your photo - then get all your friends to vote for you! Winners are determined by a combo of judges choice and number of votes.

Along with some cool hair products, the 1st place winner gets an iPod Nano, and the 2nd place winner receives an iPod Shuffle.

Participation details are on the site, with winners announced Friday, November 6, 2009.

An added bonus is that all photos will be featured at Perfect-Results starting Friday, October 2, 2009 until Friday October 30, 2009. To get your friends to vote for you, they just have to click on your photo. Better hurry as the contest has already been running a week!

Free iPod Music From Seattle!

Last post we told you where you can get 30 free iPod Movies. This post we share yet another of our finds of free iPod music!

And this time we know just how long these freebies  are gonna be up for grabs. You got two weeks people! And then, while you might be able to still get them - the promise is that they will be much harder to get.

So… what’s it all about?

Well, Seattle Weekly has an annual music shindig called  the REVERB Festival and to help promote the event they have  selected a track from each of the 60+ acts scheduled to perform next Saturday and put it together in one big 64-song download.The download includes tracks from The Maldives’ “Blood Relations” and Kaylee Cole’s “Uncertain World,” for example.

Now the free iPod music on offer is not gonna be everyone’s cuppa tea, so we have provided  a sneak preview of the style of music with this YouTube video of the Maldives in action:

Some of the tracks are just short samples (but you can weed them out if you want, once you have them downloaded.) For those not in Seattle and so not attending the festival, the  inclusion of commentary on all of the bands will probably not be that welcome either!
