How To Get Free Movies On Our iPods:Part II

In a previous post we showed you how to get free movies onto an iPod in four easy clicks. We used free software that works by converting movie files to iPod-compatible format and then auto uploads the file to iTunes.

Even though the software was easy to use, its one fault is that it does not convert from any “protected” DVDs. Having said that, we were able to get it to convert one DVD and  play it on our iPod - because it was not “protected”. But all the videos we really wanted to convert are “right-protected”.

Now, the iPod is just another playing devise- so there is just no justification in making us pay for yet another version of a movie we already have purchased, just so we can watch it on our iPod.

We went hunting for a solution!

And we found a fantastic little, super simple, FREE  bit of software that solved our problem! The software is called DVD43 and site quietly on our PC unlocking DVDs so that they can be converted and transferred to our iPods!

With DVD43 loaded, we can now use TransferMy Video to convert all our DVDs to play on our iPod! No need to do anything at all with the DVD43 (it works in the background whenever we need it!) - just use TransfeMyVideo - which is super fast at converting (its more than double the speed of ordinary play)

Now it does have  a water mark in the middle of the free version which is more annoying for the smaller screened iPods than for the iPod Touch. But its pretty cheap to get the full version,and well worth it!

BTW - I watched Bolt on an iPod when I flew over to Seattle, last week (friend has the DVD!) I loved the graphics.

How To Play Your iPod Videos On TV

We have shown you how to get free movies onto your iPod. We have shown you how to get heaps of free movies (just use the search bar or categories for more posts on this). Now we are gonna set you up to watch all these great movies on the big screen.

Besides, we just wanted an excuse to share this YouTube video with you. This subtext is kinda hillarious as the makers - HowCast - clearly want us to get that this process is so simple that even a kid (or little old lady) can do it easy! LOL

Want To Know How To Get Movies On iPods For Free?

So Vuze have just developed a new system called “devices” which allows us to put movie files onto our iPods for free - with just two clicks of the mouse. Yeah - so the movie files have to be on our PC (see a previous post for how to get your favorite  movies onto your PC for free) - and then this free Vuze software will convert them and load them to iTunes ready to sync to our iPods!!

The instructions are easy to follow.  And once your videos are converted to the iTunes-friendly format, Vuze will “push” the video into your iTunes Movies library. Then, the  next time you dock your iPod with iTunes,  the video will be auto-transferred to your iPod (unless you have it set at “manual” in which case its ready for you to transfer when you want it!)

More iPod TV for free!

We normally don’t do any posts on any software without trying it first. So be warned that we have not tested this one out. Basically, because we could not get the Mobile TV Center demo to install!! The wrap on the site and the video below makes the software look like its worth a try - so we are letting you know about it. If you can get it to work then you can watch pre-recorded TV shows on your iPod - it auto converts and loads them to your iPod.
