Here are some really quality songs on offer for free download to play on your iPod. Plus a couple of music videos of some of the artists so that you can appreciate the quality of the music we are telling you about.

Very happy to be able to share these great finds with our readers. Depending on your preferences you may download only some - or, if you just like quality music, then get them all. No need to sign up for any of these!

Tips and Tricks for Finding iPod Movies in iTunes

Don’t you just hate how slow and clumsy it is to find movies in iTunes? Well we are gonna show you how you can do it fast and easy using Google - yep, Google!

First up is you just want a list of all the movies available in iTunes then just click this link and you will get a list of 60300 iTunes movies!

But this is not all that useful because - well - what can we really do with this huge list? We need a way to search for what we want. And that turns out to be super easy as well.

When you click this link you will get:

Which shows the url for the search that generates the 60300 movies that are in iTunes. Now, in order to find particular movies all we need to do is add the particulars of what we are looking for. Lets say we want to know what movies  iTunes has staring Robert Downey Jnr. Then we add that search term in before “site”:

This search shows that iTunes has 14 movies with Robert Downey Jnr (click on “repeat the search with the omitted results included.” to see all 14):

When we click on one of the Google results (in this case the second one in the list) we get sent to iTunes for the details (in this case for IronMan):

Its that easy! Now you know how to easily search for whatever actor or movie you want without having to go through the tedious iTunes search system!

Free iPod Touch Videos - Tutorials

 iTunesU sometimes has some pretty neat free stuff - music, videos and podcasts mainly. But well worth checking out from time to time as so e of the universities that supply free downloads for iPods have a big budget and produce some quality stuff. We have done many posts telling you all about some great free podacsts in the past. But the iTuneU offers some excellent free iPod videos.

The iPodbomb team  does keep an eye out on  iTunesU  and just found another bunch of free videos we though worthy of your attention:

This collection of free video tutorials is quite useful, we thought, as more and more of our readers are upgrading to the Touch. If you have recently done so, then you really should check this lot out as they show us how to best use the iPod Touch.

iPod Music, Movies and Games on Sale?

Wherever in the world you are located, if you check the Apple site you will see something like:

According to some observers, Apple is planning a big cut in prices for some of its gooodies. But, another report reminds us that:

Last year UK bargain hunters got £80 off a 20-inch Imac and a “you’ve dragged me all the way to the shops for this?!” £5 off an Ipod.

So whilst it might just be worth a look, we suggest you don’t get too excited, yet! And it is not at all clear whether Apps, or Music or Movies and other iPod downloads will be included in the sale.

Which iPod is best for iPod Movies?

Well the quick answer is NOT the new iPod shuffle, lol! While the shuffle may well end up being the first MP3 player the size of an ear bud (no prizes for guessing why we chose that analogy!), which will then mean, no doubt, that it stops being the cheapest as well, it is blind!

And being blind means it can’t do all the great things that the other iPods can do - and in fact is not really an iPod, in our book!

What’s more, “real” iPods just got way better - at least for one model. And that has inspired this post. Because the iPod Touch can now get updated with the latest iPhone software. Which, according to Apple, means:

When you get the new iPhone 3.0 Software Update for iPod touch, you get new features that make watching video, playing games, and listening to music even more fun.

See what we mean? The thing about the Touch is that it allows us to be a part of  the apps revolution that is going on at iTunes, and hundreds of great apps are free. Now, admitedly, that access does come at a cost!

For example, we can get the latest Apple iPod Classic 120 GB model for around $225. Or we can get the latest model Apple iPod Nano 16 GB for around $175.  But the latest iPod Touch 16 GB will set us back for around $275 and the 32 GB costs around $380!

So it costs more - and has way less memory that the Classic does.  What’s more, the software upgrade is NOT free! We have to shell out another ten bucks for it.  So the question is - is it worth it to get a Touch? Is it worth the loss of memory and the extra $$ to get the sweeter  software and bigger screen size?

Well, how big are you pockets? How long is your travel time? How good is your eye sight? We think there is no contest but know plenty of people we can’t even give a Touch to as they like their compact iPods just fine.So, while we give the prize to the Touch - because the new software will allow it to download movies and TV shows over Wi-Fi from the iTunes Store, we admit that music lovers will not agree. But they might - just - be interested in the new software benefit that enables us to listen to music wirelessly using bluetooth headphones.

How To Get Free Movies and TV SHows on Our iPods

This afternoon I put two episodes of my favorite TV show on my iPod to watch while I am traveling tomorrow. Hmm - that sounds like it took all afternoon. When actually - using the best software I have used in a very long time  - it took but moments. In know - I should do a commercial on it or something!

But I admit I’m pretty chuffed about it. Like four clicks and the shows were on my iPod. It was that easy to use and that fast.

Now, I did have the video files already on my computer (I’ll explain how I got them in my next post). And using this free TransferMy Videosoftware, it was a case of clicking ‘browse’ to find the video file, clicking on the image provided to choose iPod, clicking ’start converting’, and a few minutes later - iTunes opened and the video was ready to be synced to my iPod. It was GREAT! And it was free!!

Now, I admit, the free version does have a watermark in the middle of the screen - which can be annoying. But if it bothers you, then its real cheap software and well worth getting. AND I found a promo for it - only works for the next couple of days - but I’m gonna get it and I thought I’d post it here for anyone else who might be interested.

iPod Movies - Check Out This New Way To Watch Them

iPods are great music centers. No doubt about it. But a hot new product is set to revolutionize the way we use our iPods. Have a look at this gizmo…

Its the “The Portable iPod® Video Enlarger And DVD Player” marketed by Hammacher Schlemmer. The iPod gets “docked” in the device which then plays videos recorded on the iPod on an LCD screen some 2.5 times larger than the iPods screen. Now the device costs more than the iPod did - but hey, its still a cool “extra” in our book!
