Free iPod Music For Babies

Saw this cute pic of this iPod lovin’ baby and the iPodBomb team got inspired take a look and see what we could find to keep the bubs of the world happy!

And we reckon there is a good bit of free iPod Music to keep any iPod-baby happily not crying for hours!

First up we reckon that freekidsmusic have a great selection of free MP3 music  just for littlies.

On the landing page you will see a half a dozen or so new albums. And in the right side column you will see that you can check out all the free music alphabetically (though to be honest, we did not know any of the likely baby stars, so we just browsed at random).

Just right click on the song you want to download, and select “save link as” in Firefox or “save target as” in IE.

When you click on “download” you will get a box opening that gives you the option to open with iTunes. Select that option: Then the songs will be in your iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPod!

So whether you are  an aunt or an uncle, find yourself baby sitting from time to time or even have a baby of your own. Let us know which free this free iPod baby music makes your baby a fan! Free Romance Music For iPods

With Valentine’s day the next big event on our calendars it seems a good time to share our find of free romantic music. Jerry Pippin - a radio announcer from yesteryear - has recreated this special programs dedicated to romance - the old fashioned way!

Jerry Pippin - who seems to be a real character - has put together Jerry Pippin’s Words and Music of Love - A Sentimental Journey on the Street of Dreams. Have a listen to some sweet music.

He has also kindly provided an easy  guide to help us download the music to our iPods. But be warned - the instructions only work if you are using IE - annoyingly, Firefox does not let us do this!

If you scroll down you will see that Jerry has several podcasts on this page that we can download - amounting to a coupe of hours of the kind of music that’s hard to find these days. Real classics, real romance!

Free iPod Christmas Music

The University of Utah Singers are generously providing their beautifully sung Christmas carols for free for Christams!Don’t know who they are? Check out this video for a wonderful preview.

To get the free MP3 Christmas Carols, just go to iTunes and type “chirstmas” in the search bar. That will take you to a results page with a range of music to buy. But if you scroll to the bottom of this page you will find a list of free MP3s that you can download. Just click on “provider” so that all the University of Utah Singers’  songs are grouped together. That way you can easily see the different songs on offer. Click “get” and the University of Utah Singers’ downloads will go straight into iTunesU in your library. They have given us eight gorgeous carols: The Twelve Days of Christmas, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Love Came Down At Christmas, ?Twas the Night Before Christmas,  We Need a Little Christmas (Mame), Were You There on That Christmas Night?, Sing We Now of Christmas, The Secret of Christmas.

If you love beautiful choir music, then this is a very special opportunity. If you prefer the more pop version of Christamas - we know where you can get 25 free Christmas songs by artists like Lady Gaga, Sixpence none the Richer, and Tori Amos among others. More about those in our next post!

Free iPod Music From Seattle!

Last post we told you where you can get 30 free iPod Movies. This post we share yet another of our finds of free iPod music!

And this time we know just how long these freebies  are gonna be up for grabs. You got two weeks people! And then, while you might be able to still get them - the promise is that they will be much harder to get.

So… what’s it all about?

Well, Seattle Weekly has an annual music shindig called  the REVERB Festival and to help promote the event they have  selected a track from each of the 60+ acts scheduled to perform next Saturday and put it together in one big 64-song download.The download includes tracks from The Maldives’ “Blood Relations” and Kaylee Cole’s “Uncertain World,” for example.

Now the free iPod music on offer is not gonna be everyone’s cuppa tea, so we have provided  a sneak preview of the style of music with this YouTube video of the Maldives in action:

Some of the tracks are just short samples (but you can weed them out if you want, once you have them downloaded.) For those not in Seattle and so not attending the festival, the  inclusion of commentary on all of the bands will probably not be that welcome either!

Exercise Music for iPods

The team here has just discovered a cool site that gives away free fitness music. Now we all know that the iPod is great to take with us no matter what sport we are into. So we figure we will let you all in on this site. FitMusic does mixes specially for fitness activities.For example, their latest offering was on Wed, 19 August 2009 called FitnFun

They have also provided another 125 free mixed music MP3s on iTunes. Check out the widget below to get an idea of their quality.

iPod Music - What is the Best Audio Format?

Unless you get your iPod music only from iTunes, you will have had to consider what audio format gives the best sound on your iPod. Depending on where you go to get iPod music, you will have had to choose between formats like MP3, WMA, and WAV files. And let’s face it, determining each format’s advantages and limitations takes some homework - probably more work than any of us really want to put in. So you will be pleased to know that Donald Bell from cNet has done the work for us and put it together on this brief video:

Legal Free Music Downloads for iPods

Well, if you check around our blog you will find stacks of ways to get free music, free movies and even free games for iPods.

Our latest, newest …drum roll… bestest method of getting legal free music downloads for our iPods - is perhaps the best yet!

Because what it does is troll over 2000 internet radio stations for whatever music we want and then download it for us!! For free! And its all legal! And it only just takes about 25 seconds to find them!

AND worth sharing with all our friends - we have, that’s for sure! And they have all loved it! Best thing since all the free download sites got shut down by Apple!!

Now what we are looking for is a software that does this for movies - because everyone here reckons they are just too expensive on iTunes!And while we have reviewed some great software that allows us to copy DVDs - what we wanna find is software that copies movies and/or TV shows from any site. We’ll keep you posted.

Free iPod Music Downloads

We have just found a neat way to get 50 free music downloads with another possible 365 free music downloads  on offer over a period of time. All that it takes is downloading a free music toolbar (which also gives us access to free radio!) and then we can get all this free music.

OK - just to take you through it - this is what you have to do. First - go to this site and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will see a link to “free music downloads”. Click that link and you will be taken to the page where you can download the free music tool. Once you have downloaded the tool you will open it and get a very pleasant bonus (well, we did!):-

Now we do have to sign up for the free trial - which means we also get to use the Music site for free for 7 days. And in return we get 50 free songs of our own choice to keep - no matter whether we cancel the free trial or not (which is super easy to do). On top of that - as if that wasn’t cool enough - we also get offered a free song every day for the next 365 days!! We have kept 3 of the ones we were offered over the last week. If the offers continue to be that good we are looking at at least another 150 free songs - yippee!

If you have trouble with Firefox (we did) you will be relieved to know its real easy to download with Internet Explorer.  The free 365 songs are selected for us by a team of experts from. So, lets face it - not all are going to appeal to everyone, everyday. But so far we have enjoyed the selections on offer.Give it a try and let us know what you think.

BTW - the way the free trial works is - you will be allowed a 7 days during which time you can try out the service and download the 50 free songs you want. The Free Trial period will expire upon the last day of the the 7 day Free Trial period. If you end the Free Trial before the end of the 7 days (which is OK to do), any remaining free downloads will be lost. On the other hand, if you do not terminate the free trial by the last day, you will be automatically subscribed to eMusic and billed based on the payment plan selected when you registered.
