First There Was Wearable Art - Now There Is Wearable iPods!

We have done posts about iPod-as-jewelery in the past - and there have been some very funky and veeeery expensive takes on this. But the latest designer gear for iPods is really in a class of its own. Its not really jewelery - though it is worn around the neck. And it still has the ear buds attached! And its made of high tech 3D printed polyamide. And its precision manufactured.
Which all sounds more like a piece of technology - not jewelery. After all jewelery is made from precious metals and gem stones - or copies of them. And the Pod à porter - what this “gadget” is called - definitely is not made of them. And at around $27, its not expensive either.
So lets take a look at this thing: Its super light, has an iPod Shuffle plugged in one end and the ear buds at the other. It comes in 5 colors - black, white, magenta, blue and green. It ONLY fits the 3d generation iPod Shuffle. And it was designed by Michiel Cornelissen.
Does it look good as well as give hands-off usability? See for yourself:

A final touch (yuk yuk) in the whole process is that your necklace is literally made to order. The Pod à porter is “printed” off for you once you submit your order and then mailed to you!
Instant wearable technology!

I might have to pick one of these up for myself, for when I go running. They look sweet.
