iTunes in trouble again!
Posted on Jan 06, 2008 under free downloads, ipod news |Business week reports on yet another law suit for Apple. I think many iPod users will have some sympathy with this one, though.
The complaint is, basically, that iPod users are stuck with iTunes as a source of music (not true - as you will discover from this blog, there are other choices but most iPod users don’t realize this!)
According to the complaint, Apple has set up their shop so that only Apple hardware can use their music downloads and visa versa!
Add to that the fact that Apple has over 75% market share (up to 90% on some definitions!) then you can see where Apple would be accused of using its market power to fill its own pockets at its customers expense! (and at the same time restrict our choices)
